On July 16th, the first Master's Thesis (TFM) defense for the Erasmus Mundus NoRisk master's program took place. Graduate Jose Rozo Cortes received an outstanding grade for his innovative work entitled "Automated Risk Analysis of Civil Engineering Contracts and Specifications using Natural Language Processing."
Researchers Itsaso Arrayago, Mónica Aragüés, Xavier Prats, David Escofet and Jordi Llorca have received the Serra Húnter Talent Recognition Award. The award ceremony, which recognizes academic excellence and the quality of Catalan public universities, took place on July 9th in Barcelona.

On July 3rd the organizing committee of the Research Work Award organized by Barcelona School of Civil Engineering with the collaboration of the Professional Association of Civil Engineers of Catalonia declared the winning work of this 7th edition.
Professor Eugenio Oñate, former director and founder of the International Center for Numerical Methods in Engineering (CIMNE) at the UPC and professor emeritus at Barcelona School of Civil Engineering, has received the 2024 National Research Award for scientific excellence. In the young researcher category, the award went to engineer Víctor Vilarrasa, an alumnus of the School of Civil Engineering.

El Palau de la Música Catalana, joia del modernisme, es va vestir de gala el passat dijous 26 de juny per acollir l'acte de graduació de les promocions 2023-24 i 2024-25 de l'Escola Tècnica Superior d'Enginyeria de Camins, Canals i Ports de Barcelona (ETSECCPB) de la Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC). Un total de 450 nous titulats i titulades van celebrar la fita acompanyats per més de 1.300 familiars i amics, omplint de talent i emoció l'emblemàtic escenari.
