Presentation of the PyrMove project

Tuesday, May 10, 2022

PyrMove aims to prevent and manage the risk associated with landslides that cause most of the damage to roads, dams, towns and activities in the Pyrenees.

It is a European project co-financed 65% by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) within the framework of the 2014-2020 Interreg V-A Spain-France-Andorra Program (POCTEFA).

During the development of the project, cross-border methodologies and quantification tools have been created to assess, prevent and manage the risk associated with large landslides and multiple landslide episodes.

The following seminars have been organized to present the main results of the project:

Tuesday, May 17th 2022

  • Presentation of results (Vielha’s cinema, 12pm-2pm)
  1. General presentation of the PyrMove project: landslides in the Pyrenees.
  2. Problems associated with multiple landslide episodes caused by heavy rain. Occurrence, consequences and prevention tools.
  3. Large slope movements: monitoring, analysis and prevention.
  4. Question time and open debate.
  • Field trip to two landslides (Arties, 4pm-6pm)

Wednesday, May 18th 2022
