Javier Caimari receives the XXI Abertis Spain Sustainable Mobility Award for Master Thesis

Javier Caimari Tur (third from the left in the photo), a recently graduated student of the Escola de Camins, received the XXI Abertis Spain Sustainable Mobility Award for the Best Master Thesis on September 30, in an event that took place in Madrid and that was attended by leading personalities in the field. Javier's master thesis was supervised by professor Margarita Martínez Díaz (BIT-Barcelona Innovative Transportation research group).

 

In this thesis, entitled Microscopic calibration of lane changing manoeuvres by matching of loop detector data, Javier proposes and validates a generic calibration methodology for lane change maneuvers in microscopic traffic simulators based on a new typology of traffic data, matched-loop data, and on ad hoc developed key performance indicators (KPIs). More information can be found here: https://www.abc.es/noticias/catedra-abertis-espana-entrega-xxi-premios-movilidad-20240930175323-nt.html
