Indicators such as the cut-off grade or the percentage of failures do not measure the quality of a university degree.

Indicators such as the cut-off mark or the failure rate do not measure the quality of a university degree. The cut-off mark is a reflection of supply relative to demand, and any comparison based on this indicator without considering the number of places available for the degree is misleading. Furthermore, comparing degrees using the pass rate without mentioning the cut-off mark for the degree in question is perverse, or at the very least, denotes a complete lack of knowledge of the Spanish education system. Passing everyone would be easy; failing everyone would be easy too. The real question is: what can we expect from a quality university degree?
