The School of Civil Engineering of Barcelona offers this free course open to doctoral and master's students currently enrolled at the UPC, as well as exchange students currently affiliated to the UPC, which combines theoretical classes with practical sessions on direct displacement-based seismic design (DDBD) of seismic devices for advanced seismic protection of structures against earthquakes, such as base isolation and energy dissipation devices.
