The Spanish Society of Computational Mechanics and Computational Engineering (SEMNI) has conferred the 2022 Juan Carlos Simó award on Dr Matteo Giacomini.
Matteo Giacomini is Serra Húnter Assistant Professor in Computational Engineering at the Escola Tècnica Superior d'Enginyeria de Camins, Canals i Ports at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, where he is member of the Laboratori de Càlcul Numèric (LaCàN). He is affiliated researcher at the Centre Internacional de Mètodes Numèric en Enginyeria (CIMNE) and affiliated faculty at the Institut de Matemàtiques de la UPC-BarcelonaTech (IMTech).
The award will be delivered during the Congress of Numerical Methods in Engineering (CMN 2022) to be held in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria on September 12-14, 2022.
