Professor Cabré will first describe the basic ideas concerning fractional Laplacians and the essential tools needed to treat nonlinear equations involving these operators.
He will then present recent results on fractional semilinear elliptic equations (mainly of Allen-Cahn type) and on front propagation for fractional Fisher-KPP type equations.
He will also describe a recent work on surfaces with constant nonlocal mean curvature; they satisfy a fractional quasilinear elliptic equation.
