El professor Josep Sarrate i el doctorand Abel Gargallo —del Laboratori de Càlcul Numèric— juntament amb Jaume Peraire i Xavier Roca —professor i investigador respectivament del Massachusetts Institute of Technology— han rebut el Meshing Maestro Poster Award pel póster "Defining quality measures for mesh optimization on parameterized CAD surfaces", concedit a la 21st International Meshing Roundtable celebrada a San José (Estats Units).
